WHAT HAPPENED?
Per Africa Foot, Leeds have opened talks with Porto over a deal to sign Sanusi this summer as they make plans to reshape Daniel Farke's squad. The Championship side are ready to offer the full-back a deal until 2029, and the offer does not appear to depend on promotion to the Premier League.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Leeds, who sit second in the Championship, two points behind leaders Sheffield United, are aware that Junior Firpo's contract expires this summer, and Sanusi may offer a low-cost replacement for the former Barcelona ace. The Porto ace has battled back from a cruciate ligament tear but has been limited to just three league appearances this season.
